Lockout/tagout (LOTO)
Isolate every energy source in the right order, every time.

The best pilot candidates are high-risk, high-frequency or hard to practise on live equipment. Start with one procedure, one cohort, and measured before-and-after results in 4–8 weeks.
Request the pilot brief Next: Confined space entryWhat trainees practise
- Identify every energy source: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, stored mechanical and thermal
- Warn affected workers and shut the machine down in the right order
- Isolate each source and apply your locks and tags at every isolation point
- Release or block stored energy, then try out to prove zero energy
- Remove locks and restore energy in the right sequence once the area is clear
Every step follows your own SOP and sign-off criteria. Try the LOTO demo.
Mistakes the module catches
- Missing a secondary or stored energy source
- Skipping the try-out before starting work
- Restoring energy before everyone is clear
